• Usage Statistics: Frequency of words appearing on web pages

• Your browsing history

• Personal information (name, email, address, etc.)
• Data from other websites

2. Data Storage

Local Storage

All data is stored in your Chrome browser's local storage:

• chrome.storage.local: Stores your word list, learning progress, and statistics
• Data Location: Your local device only, never uploaded to any server
• Data Security: Only you and your device can access it

Default Word List

The extension includes a preset word list (words.json) containing common vocabulary words. This is public data and contains no personal information.

3. Data Usage

We use the collected data only for:

• Highlighting words you're learning on web pages
• Tracking your learning progress
• Providing word frequency statistics
• Improving extension functionality

4. Data Sharing

We Do NOT:

• Sell your data to third parties
• Share your information with advertisers
• Use data for commercial purposes
• Send data to external servers

5. Permissions Explained

The extension requires the following permissions to function properly:

• storage: Store your word list and learning progress
• activeTab: Execute scripts in the current active tab
• scripting: Inject content scripts for word highlighting
• tabs: Access tab information for proper functionality
• contextMenus: Create right-click menu for adding words
• host_permissions: Highlight words on web pages (HTTP/HTTPS sites only)

6. Data Security

We take the following measures to protect your data:

• All data is stored locally on your device only
• No network connections are made to transmit data
• Chrome's secure storage API is used
• Unnecessary debug information is regularly cleaned

7. Your Rights

You have the following rights:

• View Data: View all stored data through the extension interface
• Delete Data: Delete words or clear all data at any time
• Export Data: Export your word list to a file
• Stop Using: Uninstalling the extension will delete all data

8. Data Retention

Your data is retained locally until:

• You manually delete it
• You uninstall the extension
• You clear your browser data

9. Children's Privacy

This extension is not specifically targeted at children under 13. If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has provided us with personal information, please contact us.
